Aftab Shivdasani got his first breakthrough as a full-fledged actor in 1999 with Ram Gopal Varma's "Mast" opposite teen sensation Urmila Matondkar. His amazing performance in the film won him the Best Newcomer Award. Thereafter they continued acting in several movies, which brought him applause and laurels from viewers and critics similar. 
 Movies like "Awara Paagal Deewana" 2002, "Hungama" 2003 and "Masti" 2004  have all established him as a versatile actor able to doing different  roles. Yet the commercial success has not embraced this jinxed actor.  None of his movies became blockbusters breaking box office records
 Aftab Shivdasani's parents come from different religious backgrounds.  His brother is a Parsi while his sister is a Hindu. Aftab Shivdasani had  his schooling at St. Xavier's High School in Mumbai. While pursuing his  school schooling Aftab Shivdasani professionally divided his time  between studies and acting. After finishing his school schooling Aftab  Shivdasani did his graduation in Commerce from H.R. College in Mumbai.  They dated hot model Yana Gupta and soon broke up together with her on  grounds of incompatibility.
